Mark Keefer

Mark C. Keefer, 47, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his home. Born September 22, 1969 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Charles L. Keefer, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Shippensburg and Beverly Myers Rhine and husband Palmer of Chambersburg. Mark was a 1987 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and was employed at Rife Motors in Chambersburg. He was a life member of the Franklin Fire Company and the Chambersburg Club. He also held membership in the Sons of the American Legion. Mark was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin brother, Michael C. Keefer and wife Danielle of Chambersburg; his sister, Kristine Baker and husband Gary of Chambersburg; and three nieces, Holli Johnston of Frederick, Paige Keefer of Chambersburg, and Nicole Keefer of Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 11, 2016 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Dr. Wilford “Pete” Rathel will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Fire Company, 158 West King Street or to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, both in Chambersburg, PA 17201.
