Mark Stader

Mark Richard Stader, age 58, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 6, 2017. Born November 2, 1958, in Quantico, VA, Mark is the son of Dr. Richard O. and Mary Louise Stader.
A 1977 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Mark went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Juniata College and his Master's degree from Frostburg State University. Mark worked in Medical sales for a number of years. He enjoyed tennis, golf, listening to music, especially the Beatles, driving his classic Cadillac, and most of all spending time with his children.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his loving wife, Laurie Bloom Stader, whom he married May 2, 1987; his cherished children, Nicole Stader (fiancé Justin Wirth) of North Wales, PA and Andrew Stader (Shannon Zeger) of Chambersburg, PA; three siblings, Alan Stader (wife Amy) of Mt. Airy, MD, Bob Stader (wife Mylinda) of Ellicott City, MD, and Anne Michno (husband Kevin) of Ellicott City, MD; and his Mother and father in law, Robert and Betty Bloom of Coalport, PA. In addition, Mark is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held to celebrate Mark’s life on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Fr. Joseph Stahura, Pastor Jeffrey McCrackin, and Pastor Dennis Chisholm will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 9, 2017, from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Norland Cemetery, for those who wish to participate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
