Mark Tasker

September 5, 1970 — March 6, 2016

Mark Alan Tasker, 45, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at his home. Born September 5, 1970 in San Francisco, CA, he is the son of Larry A. and Lydia J. (Hill) Tasker.

Mark was a 1989 graduate of CASHS. He then earned his Associates Degree from YTI in Electronics and HVAC. Mark was employed at AT&T Wireless in the Chambersburg Mall. He enjoyed Martial Arts, physical fitness, and collecting comic books. Mark earned his Black Belt in Tae Kwan-Do and was an instructor at the Tactical Combat Academy Mixed Martial Arts in Greencastle, PA.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by two children, Jamil Said and Amir Alan Tasker, both of Chambersburg; his sister, Melissa Tasker of Chambersburg, and his fiancé, Jaquelyn DeShong of Chambersburg.

A funeral service will be held to honor Mark’s life at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Victor Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions for purposes of establishing a fund for his son may be made to Mark’s Mother, Lydia J. Tasker c/o Brownsville Church of God, 6390 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, PA 17222.
