Marle M. Foor, 79, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Everett, PA, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born September 23, 1935, he was a son of the late Murray M. and Helen L. Weicht Foor.
A 1953 graduate of Everett High School, Marle then served honorably in the U.S. Army. After his discharge, Marle continued to serve in the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves. He worked as a supervisor in supply chain at Ft. Ritchie, MD and then at Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement in 1993. Marle was an avid hunter. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching the news, following sports, and working outside in his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alice Foor, whom he married on December 26, 1959; his daughter, Wendy S. Mason of Chambersburg; two grandsons, Brandon Lynn Mason and Joshua Wayne Mason, both of Chambersburg; two great-grandchildren, Lillian and Parker; five siblings, Geraldine Reed (Ken) of Fayetteville, and Kenton “Mick” Foor (Kathy), Chalmer “Ron” Foor (Jane), Debbie Peck, and Janet Trail, all of Everett, PA. In addition to his parents, Marle is preceded in death by his son, Randy Lynn Foor; and a sister, Carol Lawhead.
Services will be private and under the direction of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
