Marlena "Linda" Campbell

Marlena L. Campbell Marlena Linda (George) Campbell, age 47, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014. Born April 9, 1967, in Kissimmee, FL, she was a daughter of the late James and Evlena McLeary George. A 1985 graduate of CASHS, Marlena was an outstanding basketball player, scoring over 1,000 points. She was employed at Chambersburg Hospital for the past 13 years.

Marlena is survived by her husband of 21 years, Leroy Campbell, whom she married on January 27, 1993; four children, Joshua George, Patrick Banks, Naja George, and James Wright, all of Chambersburg; six grandchildren; and eight siblings, Theron George of Chambersburg, Chris George of Chambersburg, Kenny George of Chambersburg, Gerald George of Chambersburg, Ronitha George of Hagerstown, MD, Beverly George of New York, NY, Sandy McAlla of SC, and Janie Gatlin of NC.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at The Open Door Church, 600 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA. The Rev. G. Nathan Bell and Bishop Edgar L. Scott will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:00 PM Saturday at the church.
