Martin Wells

On December 17th 2015 Martin D Wells of Fort Loudon passed from this world and those who loved him. He was best known as Marty. He was born July 29, 1943 in DuBois, PA to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Reitz) Wells. He attended Dubois School. Marty worked five plus years at Gabler Trucking in Chambersburg and he retired from Consolidated Freightways after 30 plus years of service. He drove dump truck with his dad in his early twenties for Emory & Wible which led him to meet and marry Joyce A. (Hatcher) Wells on October 26, 1963. Together they spent 52 years together working and loving each other in a unique way while raising their three children; Martin David Wells Jr., McSherrystown, PA.; Rhonda (Wells) Kane, husband Eugene Kane, Fayetteville Pa; Buffey (Wells) Seibert, husband Donald Seibert Jr. Fort Loudon, PA. He shared his love and knowledge unconditionally with his grandchildren; Claire Wells, Julia Wells, Brittni Kane, D.Brandon Seibert, and Nathan Seibert; and his great-grandson, Zane Alexander Seibert. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph and mother Dorothy of Brockport PA. , his older sister Janet (Wells) Schaffer of DuBois PA., an older brother Delbert Wells (infant), and his younger sister Nancy (Wells) Carlson of DuBois PA.
A private service will be held.
