Marvin L. “Marv” Reihart, 60, of Chambersburg, PA, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, May 16, 2012 in the emergency room of Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 18, 1951 in Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late John and Beatrice Wible Reihart. He owned and operated Marv’s Used Cars in Chambersburg and had formerly been employed for twenty-seven years at Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, PA. Marv was a member of Deliverance In Christ Church. He had a passion for muscle cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. His hobbies included camping with his family, attending auctions, and towing cars, where he affectionately earned the nickname, “Toe Tapping Marv”.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wink Reihart, whom he married December 26, 1971; two daughters, Dawn Rachilla and husband Brinton of Fayetteville and Wanda Dale and husband Eric of Carlisle; two granddaughters, Kylee and Kara Dale; numerous cousins; and his canine companion, Buddy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Velma Morrison.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Lonnie Shover will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday and from 10:30-11:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
