Mary H. Bender, 91, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 in McConnellsburg, PA from an extended illness. Born August 10, 1926 in Concord, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Erwin Gamble. Mrs. Bender was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Norma Sheetz of Lewistown, Nancy Robertson of Chambersburg, Wanda College of Bedford, and Willa Allison and husband Robert of Spring Run; eight grandchildren, Nick Robertson, Barry Slusser, Beth David, Robin Coons, Jill Hughes, Lisa Wilhelm, Polly College, and Chad College; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herbert Gamble and wife Gladys of Concord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Ross, and Finley Gamble; and two sisters, Alice McMullen and Josephine Perdue.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, Dry Run, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord United Methodist Church, c/o Christine Campbell, 24279 Path Valley Road, Concord, PA 17217.
