Mary Drenchko Patterson

Mary Drenchko Patterson, age 65, of Lititz, PA, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born August 26, 1958, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sara Barkhymer Drenchko.

Mary was a 1976 graduate of CASHS. She was a homemaker throughout her adult life, caring for her family. Mary was a vary integral part of ensuring her daughter, Sara received an education and everything she needed to excel. Mary and Sara were active in Aaron’s acres, the Special Olympics, and gymnastics. Artistic in nature, Mary enjoyed ceramics, painting, and dancing. She was also fond of reading historical memoirs, visiting historical sites, and taking walks.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 41 years, Carl Patterson whom she married on September 11, 1982; her cherished daughter, Sara Patterson of Lititz, PA; three siblings, Kathleen Miller of Denver, PA, Sara Kovach (husband Jeff) of Fayetteville, PA, and Joseph Drenchko of Fayetteville, PA; a nephew, Charles Miller (wife Kristy) of Denver, PA and a niece, Rose Marie Allen (husband Michael) of NJ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Stephen Kovach and a sister-in-law, Pamela Drenchko.

A memorial mass will be offered on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 6-8 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA.
