Mary Faubel

Mary Ellen “Sue” Faubel, 93, of Greencastle, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Transitions Healthcare in Chambersburg. Born October 7, 1930 in Clay Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Faubel, Sr. and Catherine Fulton Faubel.

Mary Ellen was a graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. She was employed as a secretary in various departments of the Stanley Company and later J. Schoeneman Company in Chambersburg for 43 years until her retirement. A dedicated Christian, Mary Ellen had an exuberant and unabashed love for the Lord, her family, friends and life itself. She always put other people before herself and served as a caregiver for her father, mother and close friend for many years. Mary Ellen was a published author of poetry. She also enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends and family. She was active in the Clay Hill Reunion and was a member of the Clay Hill Union Church. Her famous three words were “Thank you Jesus!”

Mary Ellen is survived by her nephew, Robert Faubel (wife Sharon) of Chambersburg; great niece, Dawn Coletti (Joseph) of NC; great-great nephew, Dominic Coletti; and great-great niece Cora Coletti. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, James and Harry E. “Bud” Faubel, Jr.
