Mary "Evelyn" Fleagle

Mary “Evelyn” Fleagle, 82, of Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, May 25, 2024. Born October 20, 1941 in Chambersburg, she was the adopted daughter of the late Lester and Edith Stoner Wagner.

Evelyn was a 1959 graduate of CASHS. She dedicated most of her life to making a home for her family. She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alvin R. Fleagle, whom she married on December 24, 1961; three sons, Jeffrey Ray Fleagle (wife Deborah) of Chambersburg, Gregory Lynn Fleagle of Carlisle, and Chris Wayne Fleagle (wife Jill) of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Marissa Faldetta (husband Thomas), Jaxon Fleagle, and Jaidyn Fleagle; two great grandchildren, Oliver and Luke; and one brother, Donald Smith of Fayetteville. Aside from her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by 10 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2024 at King Street Church, 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ronald Cook and Bishop Allen Fleagle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202, and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
