Mary Green

Mary P. “Dolly” Green, age 87, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Menno Haven Nursing Home. Born July 8, 1925 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Helen C. Myers Patterson.
Dolly worked for a number of years as a teller at the former Valley Bank. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was active when she was able in the St. Paul United Methodist Women’s Society and Willing Worker’s Sunday School Class. In addition she was a former member of the AARP-Chapter 2840 and the VFW Post 1599 Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Petrucci (husband James) of Nottingham, PA and Joy Hafer (husband Michael) of Chambersburg, PA; a son-in-law, Mark Houser ( husband of the late Judy G. Houser) of Chambersburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Brian, Curtis, Michelle, Craig, Nicole, Hannah, and Tess; eleven great- grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy G. Houser, a brother, Charles Patterson, and a sister, Jane P. Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastor Rick Noll will officiate. Interment will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Wednesday.
