Mary Jane Brechbill

Mrs. Mary Jane (Keller) Brechbill, 95, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Brookview Menno Haven. Born December 29, 1924 in Duffield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey N. and Ruth E. (Heintzelman) Keller.

She attended Chambersburg Area Schools and later went on to obtain her LPN degree from the Chambersburg Votech Nursing Program in 1970. Mrs. Brechbill was employed as a LPN at the Chambersburg Hospital and Manor Care until her retirement in 1986.

Mrs. Brechbill was a life-long member of the Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church where she taught the children’s Sunday school class. She enjoyed volunteering, gardening and baking.

She is survived by two children, Wanita K. (Brechbill) Burkett and husband Dr. Charles of Chambersburg, and Dale A. Brechbill of Carlisle; a brother, Samuel Keller and his wife Joan of Chambersburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, A. Roy Brechbill who passed away November 25, 2012; three sisters, Catherine Seilhamer, Janet McCleary and Ruth Keller; a brother Glenn Keller and an infant brother, Harvey Keller, Jr.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2020 in the Mission Hill Church, formerly, Chambersburg Brethren In Christ Church, 465 Center Street, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Joel Gillman officiating. Interment will follow at Air Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday morning in the church. CDC social distancing and mask requirements will be in place.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Tide, (Gospel Tide Broadcasting Association), PO Box 399 or to the Menno Haven Benevolent Fund, 2011 Scotland Avenue, both in Chambersburg, PA 17201.
