Mary Kaiser

February 17, 1926 — October 8, 2014

Mary C. Kaiser, 88, of Fayetteville, PA, died Wednesday morning, October 8, 2014 at Quincy Village. Born February 17, 1926 at her family homestead outside of Hollidaysburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Sarah Ruth Blackstone Snyder. Her husband of 66 years, Clifford G. Kaiser, Sr., whom she married December 9, 1946, preceded her in death on August 29, 2013.

Early in her life, Mrs. Kaiser helped her husband operate Kaiser’s Sawmill. She had also been employed at Musselmans, the H.J. Heinz Co., Knouse Foods, and later in life was a homemaker full time. She was a member of New Guilford Brethren In Christ Church. Her hobbies included traveling, sewing, quilting, gardening, and canning. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed family reunions and get-togethers.

She is survived by five children, Ronald L. Kaiser, Sr. and wife Wanda of Everett, Clifford G. Kaiser, Jr. and wife Sandra of Fayetteville, Richard L. Kaiser, Sr. and wife Linda of Waynesboro, Trudy A. Stoner and husband John of Fayetteville, and Joyce B. Rowe and husband Rodney of Fayetteville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Fred; and three sisters, Lillian, Lula, and Blanche.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 13, 2014 at New Guilford Brethren In Christ Church, 1575 Mont Alto Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Lawton Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow at New Guilford Brethren In Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Sunday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
