Mary Kauffman

Mary E. Kauffman, 69, of Chambersburg, PA, died Thursday morning, January 17, 2013 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA. Born January 23, 1943 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Henry Gladfelter and Helen Hays Killian. Mary volunteered with Easter Seals of Franklin County. She also enjoyed spending time at New Visions Clubhouse in Chambersburg and spent a lot of time doing arts and crafts, entering her artwork in contests where she won multiple awards.

She is survived by her daughter, Marty Etter and husband Troy; her granddaughter Alicia Etter, all of Chambersburg; her sister, Loretta K. Murdorff of Waynesboro, PA; and her foster mother Margaret Brosicke of Uniontown, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and her foster father Dietrich Brosicke.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11:30AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Dr. Dianne B. Salter officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 Tuesday at the funeral home.
