Mary Alice Landaker, 88, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, March 22, 2020 at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Born March 21, 1932 in Maysville, WV, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Charlotte Keplinger Carr. Mrs. Landaker had been employed many years in Hagerstown, MD as a seamstress at EJ Fennels and Bags By Mimi. She was also a member of the Calvary Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD. Mary and her husband, James Howard Landaker, were married on August 22, 1952 in Hagerstown, MD. Her husband preceded her in death November 7, 1991. Mary moved to Fayetteville, PA in 2002.
She is survived by her son, James R. Landaker and wife Pamela; four grandchildren, Amy Barbagallo, Todd Landaker, John Sherwood, and Samantha Kaylor; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan Sherwood, Dominic Barbagallo, Harper and Stella Landaker; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Kaylor; her grandson, Ryan Landaker; her granddaughter, Shawn Sherwood; and siblings Adam Carr, Dessie Carr Keplinger, Paul Carr, Nellie Carr Bauer, Lester Carr, Carnie Carr, Eston Carr, Francis Carr, and Dorothy Carr Rotruck.
