Mary Norah

Mary L. (Shaw) Norah, age 55, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her family. Born November 19, 1964 in Haines City, FL, she was the daughter of the late Edward Shaw and Freddie Mae Teague Shaw.
Mary was a 1984 graduate of CASHS, and went on to work in housekeeping for Franklin County Chore Services, and most recently at Wilson College, where she had worked for the last 14 plus years. She was a member of Unity in Christ Church in Chambersburg. Among her favorite things were cooking, traveling, going to church, and playing the scratch off tickets. She treated everyone as family and loved taking care of everyone. She was a very active grandmother and cherished every minute she spent with her grandbabies.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 plus years, Jimmie L. Norah, Sr.; sons Jimmie Norah, Jr. of Chambersburg, PA, Marquise Shaw (Sarah), of Mercersburg,PA and Arkeem Shaw of Chambersburg, PA; Shonda Morgan who was like a daughter to Mary; eight grandchildren, Nikolai, Aiden, Damien, Rehtaeh, twins Sophia and Raylan, Rylie, and Jackson; siblings Delois Jackson (Johnnie) of Moultrier, GA, Isaiah Shaw (Shirley) of Chambersburg,PA, Ruby Murray (Kenny) of Chambersburg, PA, Linda Powell (Heuwlett) of Donaldsville, GA, Andrea Shaw (Earl) of Chambersburg, PA, Eddie Shaw of Chambersburg, PA, and Anna Shaw of Baltimore, MD; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Shaw, Annie Shaw, and Ethel Shaw Pinnock.
Funeral services will be on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA where Rev. Dr. Lois A. Waters will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
