Mary O'Brien

July 15, 1909 — March 4, 2014

Mary Ellen “Mollie” O’Brien, age 104, of the Penn Hall Nursing Center in Chambersburg, PA, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Born in Lewisburg, PA on July 15, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Cuba Moyer Aurand.
A graduate of Lewisburg High School, Mrs. O’Brien went on to marry her husband, the late Benjamin F. O’Brien, also of Lewisburg, PA. They had moved to Western Pennsylvania, where she worked as a bank teller in California and Brownsville, PA. They had resided in Brownsville for many years and were members of the Bible Baptist Church.
Surviving are two children, Raymond H. Morris of Idaho and Colleen O. Koslick of Chambersburg, PA, five grandchildren, Karen Owens of Annapolis, MD; Beth Bodamer of Pittsburgh, PA; Colleen Plucinski of Chicago, IL; Keith and Craig Morris of Reading, PA; eight great-grandchildren; and one great - great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister –in-law, Lucile Aurand of Lewisburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2000. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cross word puzzles.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 1 PM at Lafayette Memorial Park, 132 Twin Hills Rd., Brier Hill, PA 15415; where Rev. Gary Smith will officiate. A Memorial service will follow at the Bible Baptist Church on Howard St. at 2 PM.
