Mary J. Rogers, 93, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, March 22, 2016 at the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 16, 1922 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Marahll A. and Dicie E. Holder Foose. Mary retired from Knouse Foods in Chambersburg where she worked for many years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, AARP, and enjoyed attending the Senior Center in St. Thomas. She enjoyed flower gardening, ceramics, playing cards and games, yard sales, Bingo, and baking. She especially liked spending time with her family. Her husband, Charles B. Rogers, whom she married June 28, 1944, preceded her in death on June 17, 1987.
She is survived by her godson, Bradley E. Bowers and wife Teresa of Newburg; her goddaughter, Cindy Croutz and husband George of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Foose.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Dominic M. DiBiccaro at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
