Mary Smith

Mary M. Smith, age 90, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, May 29, 2017. Born in Chambersburg, PA on December 22, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Norman J. and Elsie M. Pine Eshelman.

A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Smith worked at the former Chambersburg Laundry for a number of years. She loved spending time with her family, and loved to cook. She was also a very talented gardener and was very proud of her flower garden. She was a member of New Franklin Assembly of God. Her husband, Robert J. Smith, whom she married January 24, 1947, preceded her in death on January 26, 1981.
Surviving are numerous nephews and nieces who all loved her very much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA where Rev. Norman Gloeckler and Rev. William Dick will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the New Franklin Assembly of God Church, 2355 New Franklin Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
