Mary Springer

Mary Jane Springer, age 87, of Chambersburg, PA, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Magnolias of Chambersburg. Born March 21, 1926 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Woodward Robison.
Surviving is a son, Darald Springer and wife Patricia of Coventry, CT; three grandchildren, Jason Springer and wife Leah, Joel Springer and wife Ashley, Andrea Sanders and husband Kris, and three great-grandchildren, Karis, James, and Kate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Springer in 2012.
Mary Jane Springer was a 1944 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Bryan College in Tennessee for 2 years. She worked alongside her husband in the ministry for 44 years. She loved to play the piano.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 7 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastor David Kraft will officiate. The family will receive friends at 6 PM prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment and graveside service will be at Parklawns Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Chambersburg Bible Church, 810 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

The family would like to thank Magnolias of Chambersburg, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Delaney, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shaffer for their loving care of Mary Jane in her final days.
