Mary Ann "Susie" Stumbaugh, 83, a resident of Columbia Cottage, Collegeville, PA, and formerly of Chambersburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 17, 2016, at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born October 24, 1932, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mary Margaret Eberly Stahl. She was a graduate of the former Rouzerville High School. Her husband, Belvin R. Stumbaugh, Jr., whom she married May 25, 1957, preceded her in death on April 13, 2005.
She was at one time employed as a telephone operator in Chambersburg and then at Letterkenny Army Depot. Mrs. Stumbaugh was a member of King Street United Brethren Church. She and her late husband were member of B.P.O. Elks Loge #600 in Chambersburg. Her hobbies included reading and playing cards with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter,Gina Rae Matakas and husband Richard of Collegeville, PA; her son, Belvin R. "Ray" Stumbaugh of Camden, NJ; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann DeAngelo and Husband Jeffrey of Gilbertsville, PA; and her great-grandsons, Chase and Carson DeAngelo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Speilman.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 22, 2016, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
