Mary J. Tribble, 74, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 19, 1941 in Williamson, she was a daughter of the late Paul H. and Martha C. Cutchall Lehman. Mary was employed with the Chambersburg Area School District in the cafeteria department and worked in the High School cafeteria for more than twenty years, retiring in 2004. She has served as a Salvation Army soldier since 1990 and was active with the Salvation Army Golden Agers and the Chambersburg Senior Activity Center. She enjoyed exercising, Bingo, word searches, and adult coloring books. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John Tribble, whom she married July 17, 1961; two daughters, Martha I. Ewan and husband Daryl of Amberson and Mary Ann Bartus and husband Eugene of Chambersburg; three grandsons, Cody Ewan and wife Tiffiny of Chambersburg, Travis Carr and wife Keaira of St. Thomas, and Bradley Carr and wife Alicia of Waynesboro; and five great-grandchildren, Alexa and Olivia Ewan, Zion, Bryan and Avalyn Carr. She is also survived by a sister, Barbara Brashear and husband Marvin of Chambersburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Majors Doug and Debbie Burr will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friend from 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
