MaryAnn Beard, 70, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 8, 1951 in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ann Laverne Jedatchek Holub.
MaryAnn was a 1968 graduate of CASHS. She was employed as a nurse’s aide at South Mountain Restoration Center for 18 years until her retirement. She attended Pond Bank Independent Church. MaryAnn enjoyed painting, crafts, cooking, and canning. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry W. Beard, whom she married on February 17, 1968; three children, Michael Beard (Stacy), Mark Beard, and Laren Sweetser; all of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Brittany Velasquez (Christopher), Sophia Sweetser, Isabel Beard, and Grant Sweetser; two great grandchildren, Draydn and Ryin; and two siblings, Judy Seville (Mark) of Chambersburg, and Dennis Holub (Christine) of Raleigh, NC.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pond Bank Independent Church, 6704 White Rock Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
