Mathew Charles “Bubba” Morey, age 23, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 11, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born in McConnellsburg, PA, on September 14, 1993, he was the son of Arthur Daniel Morey and Kimberly Renee Coy.
Bubba was a 2012 graduate of Fannett-Metal High School. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his family, especially his cherished niece and nephews. Bubba also enjoyed the outdoors, going hiking, and camping.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three siblings, Ashley Morey (Brandon Zeger ) of Greencastle, PA; Janie Morey of Spring Run, PA; and Hunter Caldwell of McConnellsburg, PA, three nephews, Kaiden Lippart, Kolby Watts, and Cameron Zeger, a niece Alyssa Zeger, and an aunt and uncle, Laura and Tony Peters, Sr. of Fayetteville PA.
A memorial service to celebrate Bubba’s life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 5 PM at the Shady Pine Mennonite Church, 14620 Shady Pine Rd., Willow Hill, PA 17271, where Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
