Matthew Strader

Matthew W. Strader, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed from this earth on Monday, January 21, 2013 in Chambersburg, PA after struggling briefly with a rare condition, Amyloidosis. He was the son of the late John and Patricia Strader. Born in Danville, IL, Matt graduated from Danville High School in 1978 and went on to attend Mississippi State University at Starksville with a specialty in Turf Management. During his career as a Golf Course Superintendent he worked at Edgemont County Club in Huntington Valley, PA, Penn National Country Club in Fayetteville, PA, and Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston, VA.

Matt is survived by his wife, Kimberley Strader and their four sons; Jeremy Drake of Gainesville, FL, Joshua Drake of Berkley, CA, Christopher Strader of Chambersburg, PA, and David Strader of Chambersburg, PA. Matt has ten surviving siblings including his twin, Steve Strader of Danville, IL, Michael Strader of Decatur, IL, Judith Glatz of Las Vegas, NV, Cody Miller of Danville, IL, George Strader of Davenport, IO, Kevin Strader of Brooklyn, NY, Paul Strader of Santa Ana, CA, Jeff Strader of St. Louis, MO, Andrew Strader of Mission Viejo, CA, and Melissa Ronto of Danville, IL. He will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he touched.

At his request there will be no public service.
