Melinda Long

Melinda Sue Long, age 54, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, December 3, 2018. Born November 14, 1964, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of Paul J. Long and Judy Garner Fortner.
Melinda was a 1982 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She worked in various capacities in the food industry, most recently at Giant Foods. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, drawing, arts, and crafts and sports.
Surviving are two children, Toby P. Celestino (Azure) of Chambersburg, PA and Nicole R. Barr (Tyler) of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren, Alexia, Taliyah, Jacoby, Palmer, Oakley, and number six on the way; three siblings, Bonnie Long (Jim) of Chambersburg, PA, Paula Hunt (fiancé Beau) of Chambersburg, PA, James Long (Chrystal) of Shippensburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation center, 333 Falling Spring Rd. Chambersburg, PA where Pastor Phil Foster will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
