Melissa K. "Missy" King

Melissa K. “Missy” King, 53, of St. Thomas, passed away on Saturday morning, November 6, 2021 in her home. Born November 20, 1967 in McConnellsburg, PA, she was the daughter of Harvey King, Sr. and the late Shelby Carmack. A graduate of James Buchanan, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in computer science. Missy worked for the Chambersburg Area School District as a school bus driver for a number of years, before more recently working in the cafeteria. She was an avid collector of anything pig related and she liked making wreathes for every season and crocheting blankets. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and sense of humor.
In addition to her father, Missy is survived by her two sons, Justin R. King of Chambersburg and Erik R. King; her companion of 19 years, Jesse Small; and her brothers Harvey King, Jr. and Gary King. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Nic.
A public viewing for Missy will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
