Michael W. Rosenberry, Sr., 56 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2018; while surrounded by his family. Born on January 30, 1962, in Chambersburg, he was a son of Ann (Breon) Myers and the late Glen I. Rosenberry.
Michael was a 1980 graduate of Chambersburg High School and Franklin County Vo-Tech. He married his Junior High sweetheart, Gladys (Miley) Rosenberry on July 11, 1981. Michael was a well-known maintenance technician, most recently employed by Country Inn & Suites. He also spent 9 years of employment with Ventura Foods. Michael enjoyed the maintenance work he performed as well as the friendly interactions he had with the many people he encountered through his jobs. He was a member of the Veterans of Vietnam Wars Post 41 club. He enjoyed socializing with his fellow members and developed many friendships throughout the years. Michael had a passion for gardening and especially enjoyed the months when he could reap the benefits of his freshly harvested vegetables.
Michael is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gladys (Miley) Rosenberry; his daughter, Michelle (Rosenberry) Dean and her fiancé Eric Atherton; his son, Michael Rosenberry Jr. and his long-term significant other, Ashley Staley; three grandchildren, Nichole Rosenberry Fickes, Cierra Fickes, Fawn Dean; three sisters, Cheryl, Lisa, and Jayne; and one brother, Douglas. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie; and an unborn child.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg PA, where Rev. Murray Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 21 from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
