Miriam Miller

Miriam L. Miller, 98, a resident at The Brethren Home in New Oxford, died at 11:58 PM on Thursday September 27, 2012. Born October 19, 1913 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Richter Gerbig. A home maker most of her life, Miriam was a 1932 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. Her beloved husband Paul F. Miller preceded her in death on March 22, 1997.

Miriam is survived by two sons, Harold G. “Jack” Miller of Kingwood, TX and J. Eric Miller and wife Julie of Hanover, PA; 1 grandson, Mark Miller of Kingwood, TX; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild Aside from her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Gladys Short and a grandson Jeffrey Miller.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Thursday October 4, 2012 at 11:30 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 W. Washington Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. The Rev. Steven Dorsett will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church at the aforementioned address.
