Miriam S. Nolt

Miriam S. Nolt, 97, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Paramount Senior Living. Born September 23, 1926 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Anna Martin Shank. Her beloved husband, Paul M. Nolt, preceded her in death on February 5, 2007.

Miriam dedicated most of her life to making a home for her family and was a life-long member of Pond Bank Community Church. Miriam served as a volunteer with 10,000 Villages, Menno Haven, and World Treasures Thrift Store. She enjoyed flowers and bird watching.

She is survived by four children, Carolyn A Kuhns (husband Marlin), Elaine J. Patterson (husband Lee), Dale M. Nolt (wife Danette), and Rhonda A. Wang (husband Kent), all of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Jennifer Katindig (husband Errol), David Kuhns (wife Missy), Kyle Patterson (wife Liz), Austin Patterson, Grant Patterson, and Tia Nolt; and eight great grandchildren. Aside from her parents and husband, Miriam was preceded in death by four sisters; two brothers; and her step-mother, Anna Bricker Shank.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Marion Mennonite Church, 4365 Molly Pitcher Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Jeremy Lehman will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Marion Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202, and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
