Myrtle Seilhamer

Myrtle B. Seilhamer, age 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 23, 1934, in Marion, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice Snyder Seilhamer.

Ms. Seilhamer, known to her close friends as “Murt” and to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Mim” worked as a nurse’s aide at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 25 years, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed crafting and making latch hook rugs. She attended the Salvation Army Church.
Surviving is her son, Jeffrey L. Seilhamer (wife Linda) of Perris, CA; two grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Seilhamer, Jr. (fiancé Todd Stambaugh) and Amber Weyant (husband Jason) of Frederick, MD; and Madison and McKenzie Weyant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Cora Lou McLucas, William Seilhamer, Robert Seilhamer, and Maxine Seilhamer Rife.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Salvation Army Church, 159 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA, where Major Harris will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Salvation Army at the above address.
