Nancy Carmack

Nancy Carmack, 78, of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Laurel Lakes Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 30, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Grandon and Betty Cordell Carmack.

Nancy was a graduate of CASHS. She was employed as a secretary for her father’s upholstery shop, Carmack’s Upholstery, Castleman’s Optometry, and also worked as a nursery school teacher at Church of the Brethren Nursery School. Nancy enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, cooking and making crafts.

She is survived by five siblings, Robert Carmack (wife Marion) of Waynesboro, Donald Carmack (wife Karen) of Chambersburg, David Carmack of Chambersburg, Rhonda Morales Solise of Chambersburg and Kimberly Kopp of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Grandon Carmack, Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Lincoln Cemetery. Rev. Randy Rhodes will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
