Nancy McLaughlin

Nancy J. McLaughlin, age 86, of Fayetteville, PA, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Sunday morning, September 6, 2015 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA. Born September 5, 1929 in Fayetteville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie Baughman Fickes. She retired in 1991 from the former J. Schoeneman Company in Chambersburg where she had worked for many years. She was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church, the Golden Age Club, and the Chambersburg Mall Walkers. She liked volunteering at the Senior Center, nursing homes, Red Cross blood drives, and at the election polls. She loved traveling on bus trips with her husband and friends and enjoyed cooking and baking.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 68 years, George E. McLaughlin; her son, Larry E. McLaughlin and wife Sue of Fayetteville, her daughter Dixie Jane Burkett and husband Gary of Chambersburg; two granddaughters, Lori Edmunds and husband Jeff and Renee Ambrose and husband Mike; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Murray, Shane Ambrose, and David Edmunds; her brother, Tarrie Fickes and wife Donna of Fayetteville; her brother-in-law Ray McLaughlin and wife Shelby of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Jerry Meyer will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
