Nancy Middour

Nancy Hull Middour, 91, of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023, in her home. Born on January 7, 1932 in Columbia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles G. and Helen Kahler Hull. She was the widow of Emory J. Middour, Jr., who preceded her in death on February 3, 2001.

A 1949 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School, Nancy went on to attend and graduate from the former Penn Hall Business School in 1951. After graduation, she worked as a private secretary for the late Honorable Edmund C. Wingerd. She was a homemaker and mother of four and later worked part time at The Little Shop, formerly in downtown Chambersburg.

Nancy was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, the Chambersburg Country Club, and the Chambersburg Afternoon Club.

Surviving her are four children, Jenny M. (James) Wajciechowski of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, Susan M. (Joseph) Sabol of Mercersburg, Emily M. (Douglas) Korber of Laytonsville, MD, and Robert O. (Jennifer) Middour of Monroe, WA; one brother, Ronald Hull of Lincoln University, PA, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Aside from her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, C. Richard Hull.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. Memorial contributions may be made to Menno Haven Benevolent Fund, 300 Ridgeview, Chambersburg, PA 17201, or to the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, 221 N. Main St. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
