Ned Fahnestock

Ned Gillan Fahnestock, age 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Born May 10, 1934, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Ned G. Fahnestock, Sr. and Reba Cramer Fahnestock.
Mr. Fahnestock worked as a plumber for N. E. Diffenderfer Plumbing for 28 years, retiring in 1990. Mr. Fahnestock was a member of the Fayetteville Pentecostal Church of God, where he played the piano. He enjoyed music, spending time with family, playing the piano, and reading the Bible.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Shirley V. Fahnestock, whom he married on March 13, 1955, three children, Linda D. Coy (husband Clark) of Shippensburg, PA, Shelva J.Fogelsanger - King of Shippensburg, PA, and Brian K. Fahnestock (wife Tammy); 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a brother Edward Eugene Fahnestock of Fayetteville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Staci Geesaman will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Fayetteville Penecostal Church of God, 5276 Treher Rd., Fayetteville, PA 17222.
