Nina V. Fegan

Nina Fegan, 77, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on July 21, 2024 at her home. Born May 10, 1947, she was a daughter of the late James E. Fegan, Sr. and Margaret Eckels Fegan.

Nina was a 1965 graduate of CASHS. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Lancaster, PA as a Registered Nurse. Nina served as a Sister of St. Joseph’s for 15 years in the Philadelphia area. She was employed as an RN several places in Philadelphia including St. Mary’s Nursing Home and Moss Rehabilitation until her retirement in 2017. She enjoyed puzzles, reading and vacationing in Cape May, NJ.

She is survived by her companion, Mercedes Nippes of Chambersburg; three siblings, Tauna Brown and husband Ron, James E. Fegan, Jr. and wife Martina, and Mark E. Fegan and wife Nancy, all of Chambersburg, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews to whom she was very generous and supportive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Matthew Smith will be the celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
