Norman W. Kohler, Jr., 66, of Fayetteville, PA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2013 while hunting in Letterkenny Township. Born October 21, 1947 in Chambersburg, he was the son of Shirley Funk Kohler of Chambersburg and the late Norman W. Kohler, Sr. A 1965 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Norman served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after twenty-six years of service and was currently employed at Gateway Gallery Auction in Chambersburg. He enjoyed raising horses, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary C. Russell Kohler, whom he married May 11, 1968; his son, Larry W. Kohler of Boonsboro, MD; his daughter, Vanessa Cordell and husband William of Chambersburg; and two grandchildren, Brandi Kohler and Colton Cordell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Garry Culler officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
