Owen L. Bock, age 83, of Willow Hill, PA, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Aprontree Personal Care Home in Spring Run, PA. Born December 28, 1928 in Willow Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Harry H. and Erma Burk Bock.
A forklift operator at Knouse Foods for 40 years, Owen retired in 1993. An avid tractor pull enthusiast, Owen spent a lot of time gong to various tractor pull events. In addition, he collected toy trucks and tractors, and spent time going to local auctions.
Surviving are five children, Rosemary Neil (Ernie) of Chambersburg, PA, Lynn O. Bock (Kelly) of Chambersburg, PA; David W. Bock (Patty) of Chambersburg, PA; Helen Middaugh (John) of Shade Gap, PA; and Glenn E. McLaughlin (Linda) of Chambersburg, PA, six grandchildren, Derek Neil; Candice Hammond; Krystal Neil; David Bock; Amanda Bock; and Tiffany Bock, four great grandchildren, Dalton; Trenton; Ocean; and Brody, and one sister, Grace Winegardner (Galen) of Dry Run, PA. In addition to his parents, Owen was preceded in death by his wife Pamela May Bock in 1993 and one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11 AM at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home 18875 Main St., Dry Run, PA 17220, with Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 31 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Upper Path Valley Cemetery.
