Owen Crouse

Owen Gary Crouse, age 73, of Needmore, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his home. Born May 16, 1940 in Blacklog, PA, he was a son of the late Charles and Rose Mason Crouse. Owen was a member of Shade Gap Presbyterian Church and the Warfordsburg Lions Club. He worked as a machinist for many years until his retirement in 1999. After retiring he drove bus for the Chambersburg YMCA. His hobbies included hunting and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Erma M. Crouse, whom he married on October, 24, 1992; seven children, Gary Crouse of Fannettsburg, PA, Mike Crouse of Seattle, WA, Owen B. Crouse of Myersdale, PA, Connie Mills of Orbisonia, PA, Terry Crouse of Trough Creek, PA, Furman Crouse of Three Springs, PA, and Christopher Crouse of Normalville, PA; six step-children, Amy Youtzy of State College, PA, Angela Scheidell of Port Matilda, PA, Adam Youtzy of St. Thomas, PA, Mark Stegner of Milwaukee, WI, Todd Youtzy of Ft. Bragg, NC, and Douglas Youtzy of Needmore, PA; 34 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Crouse of Shirleysburg, PA, and Olive Snyder of Newton Hamilton, PA. Owen was prededed in death by a daughter, 4 brothers, a sister.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main St. Dry Run, PA 17220, where Rev. Karen Willis and Rev. Ryan Henderson will officiate. Interment in Upper Path Valley Cemetery will immediately follow the memorial service.
