Pastor Benjamin D. Fisler, 30, of Chambersburg, PA, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home. Born March 16, 1983 in Hagerstown, MD, he was a son of Rev. Herman and Carole Fortna Fisler. Ben was a 2001 graduate of Shalom Christian Academy, a 2005 graduate of Pensacola Christian College, and a 2012 graduate of Antietam Bible College. He had served as Youth Pastor at Chambersburg Bible Church and was currently serving as Pastor of the Kasiesville Bible Church near Mercersburg. He was a member of the Fellowship of Bible Churches and enjoyed softball, volleyball, yard sales, and spending time with his family, especially his little girl, Maddie.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Cook Fisler, whom he married June 26, 2010; his daughter, Madison Grace Fisler; 2 brothers Tim and wife Elyse Fisler of Chambersburg and Tom and wife Jennifer Fisler of State Line; his sister, Becky Cook and husband Vaughn of State Line; nine nieces and nephews; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Greg and Glenda Cook of Marion; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Lisa Cook of Fayetteville.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Chambersburg Bible Church, 810 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Herman Fisler and Rev. Greg Kell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Saturday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
