Patricia Adams

Patricia A. Adams, age 77, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away in the Chambersburg Hospital on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Born April 13, 1935 in St. Thomas, PA, she was the daughter of the late David William and Esther Grace Pheil Pool.
Mrs. Adams worked at a number of places in the Chambersburg Area, including the former Stanley Company, the former Leader Nursing Home, as a presser at Tip Top Cleaners, as a babysitter in her home, as a private care person in people’s homes, and at the former Scotland School for Veteran’s Children, where she retired in 1995. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, the Golden Bulldogs, and a former member of the Penn National Golf Club. Mrs. Adams enjoyed golf, gardening, shopping, going on bus trips, and eating out.
Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Carl Edward Adams, whom she married on October 24, 1952; her sons, Brian Edward Adams (wife Norma) of Chambersburg, PA and Timothy James Adams (wife Connie Sue) of Fayetteville, PA; two grandchildren, Jennifer Propst (husband Keith) of Chambersburg, PA and James Alan Adams of Fayetteville, PA; three great grandchildren, Tanner, Spencer, and Bridgette Propst; and siblings, . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl Lee Adams and a great granddaughter, Ashlyn Propst.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 400 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA 17201, where Rev. Gary Kipe will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the above church and address one hour prior to the Service. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery.
