Patricia Baer

Patricia L. Baer, age 77, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Born August 19, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Isabel Thressia Freet McClure.
A 1957 graduate of Greencastle Antrim High School, Mrs. Baer babysat while raising her children, then continued her career at Letterkenny Army Depot until her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed camping, sewing, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, babysitting, playing games and cooking and baking for her family. She was a member of the Chambersburg Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband of 56 years, David J. Baer, whom she married December 10, 1960; three children, Kim, Barbara “Barbie”, and David Baer; two grandchildren, Danielle and Joshua Baer; and a sister, Shirley Rotz all of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter – in – law, Jodi Baer and two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 11 AM in the Chambersburg Baptist Church, 588 S. Second St., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Dr. Kenny Craig will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 10 from 7 – 9 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service at the above church and address. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
