Patricia W. Goshorn, age 75 of Fayetteville, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Born January 23, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Ruth Dorwaldt Wood.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mrs. Goshorn served honorably until her discharge when she married her husband Max in 1957. She was an Army wife, traveling all around with her family, until her husband’s retirement. She then began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at South Mountain Restoration center, where she was employed for 11 years, until her retirement in 1986. Mrs. Goshorn was a member of Abundant Life Chapel, where she served as a board member. She enjoyed working on the computer and chatting in Christian chat rooms.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Max Goshorn, whom she married May 11, 1957; four children, Eugene L. Goshorn of Chambersburg, Michael A. Goshorn (wife Kelly) of Purcellville, VA, Eva R. Tosten (husband Joseph III) of Chambersburg, and Timothy L. Goshorn of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; and one brother, Jack L. Wood of Colorado Springs, CO.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11 AM at the Abundant Life Chapel, 1513 Shatzer Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Revs. Sam and Nancy Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 7-9 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and on Monday one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be private.
