Patricia Hoover

Patricia Shultz Hoover, 71, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Menno Haven. Born November 26, 1946 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Albert and Isabelle Danzberger Shultz. Her beloved husband and partner in life, Kenneth H. Hoover, whom she married on August 4, 1973, preceded her in death on March 6, 2016.

Patricia was a 1964 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and attended Hagerstown Business College. She and her husband were the owner/operators of Kenny's Drive Inn in Chambersburg. She was a life member of the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 in Chambersburg and a former member of the Red Hat Society. She loved dancing since she was five and later taught dance at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Harrisburg, PA.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Spoonhour (wife Scarlett) of Chambersburg; step-children, Ronald E. Hoover (wife Carolyn) of Pilot Mountain, NC and Vicki L. Washinger (husband Mike) of Chambersburg; two granddaughters, Angela M. Barroso (husband Henry) of Cape Coral, FL and Sara L. Shank (husband Chad) of Drexel Hill, PA; and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her “precious boys” Jojo, Kenny, and Bruce. They were her fur baby companions and she loved them very much.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance, 344 Leedy Way East, or to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, both in Chambersburg, PA 17201.
