Patricia Lynn Menke

Patricia Lynn (Rutherford) Menke, age 70, of Fayetteville, PA and The Villages, FL passed on away on August 24, 2024. Born September 18, 1953 in Alexandria, VA she was the daughter of the late James and Alma (Mandigo) Rutherford.

Patricia was a graduate of Thomas A. Edison High School with the Class of 1972. Patricia was employed as a Management Analyst for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and retired in 2000 after 28 years of service. Patricia lived an active life and enjoyed golfing, walking, and playing card games. One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Robert A. Menke who she married on November 3, 1984 in Clinton, MD. Two sisters, Sharon J. Duckett of Waynesboro, PA and Debra G. Walker (Andrew) of The Villages, FL; 3 brothers-in-law Fred Menke of Dale City, VA, Jim Menke (Joanne) of Vienna, VA, and John Menke (Jody) of Denville, NJ; and two sisters-in-law Marilyn Engel (Greg) of Keezletown VA, and Marylin Giles (Peter); nephews, Brandon Walker (Kim), Matthew Walker, and Nick Giles-Brown (Alex); nieces Sarah Brown and Alma Brown; and numerous great-great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two siblings, Jerry D. Brown and Cheryl A. Lussier, brother-in-law Tony Duckett, and niece Wendy Duckett.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
