Patsy A. Starr took her seat among the angels on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Leda Alta and Scott Winfield Starr. Raised on the family farm in Franklin County, Patsy shared her youth and blessed life with five sisters, Ida May (Jim) Gochenaur, Alta Holden, Mary (Larry) Hartman, Betty Jo (Clarence) Sipe, Joyce (Bill) Mellott, and one brother, David (Sheila) Starr.
Patsy was an Air Force wife and homemaker, who traveled among many stateside assignments in New York, New Jersey, and the island of Guam, a U.S. territory in the western Pacific. A loving mother, she is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Byron) and their two children; and her son, Bruce (Debbie) and their seven children and one great grandson.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, January 31, 2014 at New Guilford Brethren in Christ Church, 1575 Mont Alto Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Lawton Jacobs will officiate. Interment will be private.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Chambersburg Hospital, with special gratitude to all of the nurses, Dr. Kent and Barbara Kolanowski for their dedication, loving care and special consideration.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity or church of your choice.
