Paul Douglas Fisher, age 52, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at his home. Born June 9, 1961, he was a son of Charlotte Flory Fisher and the late Paul R. Fisher. Paul worked as a forklift operator at Cavetown Planing Mill in Cavetown, MD. He was a member of the Marion Volunteer Fire Co. and several bowling leagues over the years at Nellie Fox Bowl in Chambersburg. Paul also enjoyed watching NASCAR, New Orleans Saints Football, Hunting and Fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Tasha N. Fisher of Gettysburg, PA; two grandchildren, Anastacia and Chance Kauffman of Gettysburg; two sisters, Brenda Pyne and husband Donny of Newburg, PA, and Janet Rotz and husband Rick of Fayetteville, PA; five nephews, Cody Pyne of Shippensburg, PA, Tyler Pyne of Newburg, Devin and Ryan Rotz of Fayetteville, and Dakota Fisher of Shippensburg; one niece, Courtney Fisher of Shippensburg; and one grandnephew, Wyatt Pyne of Shippensburg. Aside from his father, Paul is preceded in death by his brother, Charles E. Fisher; and a sister, Sharon C. Fisher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, 17202, where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
