Paul Hartmire

Paul F. Hartmire, 77, of Junkin Road, Spring Run, PA, died at 2:52 AM, Friday July 15, 2011 in Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 10, 1933 in Spring Run, he was the son of the late Fred and Ethel Smith Hartmire. Paul was a graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School and was a self-employed farmer all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary’s Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Doylesburg.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Pearl Oller Hartmire, whom he married June 1, 1955; six children, Thomas Hartmire and wife Rose of Waynesboro, Robert Hartmire and wife Kay of Pond Bank, Carl Hartmire, Michael Hartmire, and Betty Watkins and husband Willis, all of Spring Run, and Lori Sanders and husband Allen of Carlisle; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA. Rev. Keith Carroll will officiate. Interment will follow in Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
