Paul L. Salmon, 100, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday morning, November 10, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 3, 1922 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Clifford and Alice Leedy Salmon. Paul served with the US Navy during WWII and retired in 1979 from Letterkenny Army Depot as a Quality Control Specialist. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church; a life member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion; a life member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW; and a member of Junior Hose and Truck Company #2, all in Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Kitzmiller Salmon, whom he married May 22, 1949; two sons, John E. Salmon of Chambersburg and Michael J. Salmon and companion Vicky Rowe of Greencastle; a grandson, Justin A. Salmon and wife Lindsay of Greencastle; two great grandsons, Matthew and Mason Salmon; two brothers, Ronald Salmon and Robert Salmon; and a sister, Patricia Stevens, all of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Sherry Salmon; a sister, June Frank; and four brothers, Joe, William, Ray, and Jess Salmon.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Salem Cemetery. Rev. Ruth Smith will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L.
